About me
Welcome to my Algebra 1 class site! My name is Johnisa Roberts. I am currently a student at Christopher Newport University completing my Master's degree in the Arts of Teaching. I have recently graduated from CNU with a Mathematics degree, and I am very excited to begin teaching Math at the secondary level. MY PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy of education centers mostly on the importance of education. I believe, in today’s society, education is very important. Many companies and even smaller businesses require a minimum level of education, however, this “minimum” seems to get higher as time progresses and technology becomes more advanced. Every child has the potential to learn and become whomever they set their mind to if they put in the time and effort. The basis for this is the tools and lessons they learn in school. Teachers are the sources for these tools which can make or break a student. They instill the motivation and encouragements that make students want to set goals and achieve them successfully.
